ADPOXIME-CV Dry Syrup is a broad-spectrum oral antibiotic combination containing Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Potassium Clavulanate, formulated for effective treatment of bacterial infections in pediatric patients. The combination enhances antibacterial activity by inhibiting beta-lactamase enzymes, thereby improving efficacy against resistant organisms. ADPOXIME-CV provides reliable coverage against common Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens.
ADPOXIME-CV Dry Syrup is indicated for the treatment of:
Upper respiratory tract infections (URTI)
Lower respiratory tract infections (LRTI)
Otitis media
Tonsillitis and pharyngitis
Sinusitis
Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
Skin and soft tissue infections
Other susceptible bacterial infections as advised by the physician
Cefpodoxime Proxetil is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death.
Potassium Clavulanate is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects Cefpodoxime from enzymatic degradation, thereby extending its antibacterial spectrum.
Together, they provide enhanced and sustained antibacterial action, especially against beta-lactamase-producing organisms.
